Richard Potter operates our Eugene and Roseburg offices, including Coos Bay. He and his staff are very experienced in personal injury practice and litigation. If Rich can’t get a case settled, he will file it with the court and proceed to trial. Rich handles many types of cases, including auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, bicycle accidents, dog bites, spine injuries, shoulder and knee injuries, workplace injuries, wrongful death, injuries caused by drunk drivers, and much more. Given his vast experience, both in Oregon and Washington D.C., Rich forces most insurance companies to settle for top value. If he cannot get an insurance company to settle the case, Rich is not afraid to take the case to trial.
Rich is currently a member of the following organizations: After graduating college, Rich entered the U.S. Navy where he was commissioned an Ensign following Aviation Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, Florida. After completing flight training, his first fleet assignment was flying F-4 Phantoms off the carrier Midway, where he flew over 150 combat missions over North Vietnam. Rich's assignments throughout his 26 year Navy career were primarily in fighter carrier aviation, during which he accumulated over 4,000 flight hours and over 1,000 carrier landings. While in the Navy he attended the U.S. Naval War College, where he was a distinguished graduate; served several tours in Washington D.C; commanded an F-14 squadron; and served as deputy commander of a carrier air wing, commander of a fighter wing, commander of a training wing and shore installation, and as the head of the Navy's R.O.T.C. program. Rich's military decorations include three Legions of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, four Meritorious Service Medals, Individual and Strike/Flight air medals, five Navy Commendation Medals with Combat V, and numerous campaign and unit awards.
